About Foundations of Leadership
This series is designed to empower participants with essential leadership skills critical for success in today's dynamic workplace. The course is delivered over 4 x 1 hour sessions.
Participants will explore key distinctions between managing and leading, learn techniques for motivating and developing their teams, master effective communication strategies, and build flexibility in their leadership style. Through interactive exercises, discussions, and practical scenarios, attendees will leave with actionable insights to enhance their leadership capabilities.

These workshops are available to all staff. They are not mandatory for casual staff.
Casual staff must obtain prior approval from their supervisor or manager to attend the training. For casual Academic staff such approval is required from the National Head of School or nominated supervisor (consistent with point 23. of the Employment of Sessional Academic Staff Policy)
The Faculty or Unit is responsible for paying the casual staff member for the time while they attend any non-mandatory professional development.
