Dealing with discrimination, harassment and bullying refresher training workshops

All ACU staff with more than 12 months service are reminded that they are required to register for ‘Dealing with Discrimination, Harassment and Bullying’ Refresher Training workshops currently being rolled out.

The training is being offered in face to face or video conference format and will continue throughout December and January. The deadline for completing the training is 31 January 2018.

It’s important you complete this training.

The University is committed to providing a safe and inclusive working and learning environment free from discrimination, harassment and bullying. All of us have a role in creating the environment we want to be part of.

This training will assist you to make your contribution by refreshing your knowledge about:

  • what constitutes discrimination, harassment and bullying based on the relevant legislation and University policies
  • your responsibilities in relation to discrimination, harassment and bullying
  • responsibilities of managers and supervisors and the University in dealing with issues
  • the options available to you to resolve concerns and complaints.

All staff are required to complete the Refresher Training by no later than the end of January 2018. Completion/attendance will be recorded as a regulatory requirement.

If you commenced employment with ACU in the last 12 months, and completed all the E-essentials online modules as part of your induction, then you aren’t required to complete this training at this time, however you are welcome to attend.
