Professor Bridget Aitchison.
A message from Associate Vice-Chancellor Victoria Dr John Ballard: I am pleased to advise that we have appointed Professor Bridget Aitchison as the Campus Dean for the Aquinas Campus, Ballarat, to succeed Associate Professor Joe Fleming on his retirement.
Professor Aitchison has more than 25 years’ experience in higher education, including 19 years in executive leadership roles. Born in the United States, Bridget lived and worked for 20 years in Australia before returning to the United States in 2009 to take on a leadership role as Vice-President and Dean at the Indiana Wesleyan University.
Bridget will commence 19 June 2017 for hand over, taking on the role of Campus Dean from 3 July 2017.Joe has kindly agreed to extend his retirement date to act in my role as Associate Vice Chancellor (Victoria) whilst I am overseas for an extended period and he will retire following the Aquinas Campus Open Day, 27 August 2017.
There will be multiple opportunities to farewell Joe and to welcome Bridget to the ACU community.I look forward to introducing Bridget to the people of Aquinas Campus at a morning tea, 19 June.
