ACU lodged its annual public report with the Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA) on 11 July 2018. Lodgment of this report meets the requirements of the Workplace Gender Equality Act 2012 (WGE Act).
The report is available for review at Gender Equality at ACU on ACU’s staff website. As ACU staff members, you are invited to make comments on the report either to the University at email@example.com or directly to WGEA. Please refer to WGEA’s guidelines on the process on their website www.wgea.gov.au.
ACU continues to be recognised as a gender equality leader, receiving the highly regarded Employer of Choice for Gender Equality Citation on 21 February 2018 for the sixth time. Preparation of this years application is currently underway.
Implementation of the ACU Gender Equality Strategy 2015-2020 (GES) and Action Plan is progressing. This includes the launch of the ACU Child Care Referral Service in 2017, which supports working parents to find suitable child care and the creation of the ACU Working Parents Workplace Group as a forum for working parents.
