ACU has now finalised the submission of all payroll and Income Statement details to the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) for the 2019/2020 financial year. Income Statements will only be available via MyGov this year, instead of from ACU via Staff Connect.
In line with income reporting changes at the ATO, employers like ACU are no longer required to provide an annual Income Statement (formerly known as a Payment Summary or Group Certificate) to staff each year.
Details of your annual earnings, referred to as an Income Statement, are only available online via your myGov account and will not be published in Staff Connect.
If ACU is your only employer, your Income Statement should now be displayed in your myGov account as “Tax Ready”.
If you have multiple employers, you will need to wait until all employers have finalised their earnings and Income Statement submissions before lodging your tax return. Other employers have until 14 July 2020 to finalise your Income Statement details for the 2019/2020 financial year with the ATO. You should receive a message from the ATO in your myGov Inbox when all Income Statements are “Tax Ready”.
Read information on how to set up your myGov account and link it to ATO online services. Alternatively, if you don’t have a myGov account, you will need to contact the ATO directly to obtain your Income Statement details, or your tax agent may be able to access the information on your behalf.
