For the past 15 years, the Vinnies CEO Sleepout has seen hundreds of CEOs, business owners, and community and government leaders commit to raising thousands of dollars to help Vinnies provide essential services to those in need all over Australia, including ACU’s Clemente Australia program. Last year, the event raised $7.9 million for people experiencing homelessness and people at risk of homelessness.
As a result of COVID-19, we have all had to adjust the way we do things – the way we do business, the way we socialise, and the way we help others. The Vinnies CEO Sleepout is transforming into an interactive online event this year to ensure that their supporters, the people they assist, staff and volunteers stay safe. Participants nominate an alternative sleeping option during the registration process, and will share the experience through an interactive live stream program, logging in with others all around the country.
This year, Robert Tonkli, Senior Advisor – Policy and Projects (Office of the Vice President) will be representing ACU by participating in this event. Robert says,"In these uncertain times with job losses, business downturns and housing insecurity, any support is greatly appreciated.”
To support Robert and the Vinnies CEO Sleepout, please visit the donation page.
We wish Robert all the very best in representing ACU at this event and raising much-needed funds for those in need.
