ACU’s first annual Sustainability Week is underway. The event is an opportunity for ACU staff and students to come together and explore how we can contribute to a better world.
Sustainability Week activities explore how we can all contribute to caring for our common home and supporting the United Nations Sustainability Development Goals. These 17 goals represent a comprehensive approach to sustainability which includes caring for the environment, addressing poverty and reducing inequalities, fostering peace and justice, and creating sustainable communities.
Pope Francis has provided a wonderful vision of these goals in his encyclical on caring for our common home, Laudato si’, which inspires us as a Catholic university.
ACU staff and students are invited to join in the range of Zoom events below – please email jessica.cassidy@acu.edu.au to register and obtain the Zoom link. The events will also be live-streamed on Workplace to enable ongoing participation and viewing.
Join the Sustainability@ACU group on Workplace for ongoing updates and resources.
