Changes to recruitment are coming

Through our current HR/Payroll system, Aurion, Human Resources is supporting the university and its Service Excellence Framework, and designing and improving the recruitment system and process including onboarding candidates more seamlessly into organisational systems.

What this means for you

The new recruitment module in Aurion will replace the current recruitment system, PageUp, and you will use Staff Connect for your recruitment needs. The Recruitment module in Staff Connect has significant benefits, as follows:

  • A reduction in the number of systems you access and replacement of many paper-based processes.
  • Utilising data, stored or gathered throughout recruitment, which reduces duplication of effort.
  • Recruitment forms and process will be hosted within Staff Connect; therefore, the format, design and workflow will be like many other employment-related forms and processes that you engage with in Staff Connect.

Overall, this supports a greater user experience, improves the process, saves time and results in quality outcomes.

Where are we at?

Organisational areas throughout the university have nominated staff to participate in a pilot.

Some forms are ready to test, and at this time we will ask participants to either test the online form to update a Position Description or submit a position for classification (professional staff only), using the Staff Connect Position Description Builder/Classification form. The pilot will be conducted throughout September.

A university-wide roll-out is anticipated for the end of 2020. There will be a period of transition from PageUp to Staff Connect where hiring managers will have additional support. Training will be provided prior to the roll-out.
