The new Internal Appointment form

In the coming weeks, an improved internal appointment process will be available from the ‘Request to Fill’ form in Staff Connect, in line with the ACU-wide change to the recruitment process that moves from PageUp to Staff Connect.

Where can I find an Internal Appointment form?

As part of the new process, an ‘Internal Appointment’ form can only be obtained through the completion of a Request to Fill form, available in Staff Connect.

The resulting Internal Appointment form can then be used in several circumstances including:

• direct internal appointments
• internal secondments
• transfers
• placement (normally following change).

Features of the new Internal Appointment form

The Internal Appointment form provides key features and functions:

• the format and design will be like many other employment-related forms and processes that you engage with in Staff Connect
• pre-population of currently stored employment and position data in the form, reducing duplication
• the Internal Appointment form will source an electronic version of the Position Description if it has been reviewed in the last 12 months
• bubbles of information or further help to guide you through particular sections
• a more flexible approval workflow process for supervisors to suit their circumstances, with the university delegations met
• acceptance of contract or employment offers through Staff Connect, for dynamic employment record updating and a better employee experience.

A reminder that you can now review a Position Description using the Position Review form in Staff Connect for internal or external recruitment.
