Opening doors to industry heavyweights, including Infosys, will now be easier for ACU Students after the Peter Faber Business School secured Microsoft certification for its array of undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
Internship and placement opportunities could also emerge at Microsoft thanks to the certification, which recognises the high quality of ACU’s IT courses and the job readiness of its students.
Artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, data analytics, cloud skills and cloud data services will form part of the learning that will be wired into programs so students can tick Microsoft certification off their to-do list throughout their study journeys.
“Microsoft certifications help students prepare for and excel in jobs that require in-demand knowledge and skills such as Office software, cloud, AI, and analytics,” Associate Professor Dr Haifeng Shen said.
“With their qualifications verified through the Microsoft Certification Program, students will stand out as valuable and knowledgeable individuals and get an edge over those who are not verified, hence getting hired faster.”
Infosys is not alone in insisting on Microsoft certification as a minimum requirement for students participating in internships. The certification built into courses will be a launchpad to the advancement of graduates to a range of careers within the business and IT sectors.
Microsoft Office Specialist Certification covers the Associate and Expert levels and will deliver students confidence across the Microsoft Office suite.
IT students will also benefit from Microsoft Certified Fundamentals, lending them skills in Azure Fundamentals, Azure Data Fundamentals, AI Fundamentals and Power Platform Fundamentals.
