As staff continue to engage with their Progress Plans, the process is most effective with ongoing conversation between you, as the nominated supervisor, and your staff member.
The Progress Plan completed by a staff member is their document – but as their nominated supervisor you can review and inform inclusions after you have had a conversation.
You can review and provide feedback on any of your team members’ Progress Plans via the Progress Plan Review form, accessible via Staff Connect.
Once you've navigated to Staff Connect and the Progress Plan, first, select the staff member to whom you wish to provide feedback. Second, add the ‘Progress Plan Review’ form from ‘My Forms’ and click ‘Next’ (pictured below).
Each time you make use of the Progress Plan Review form for someone in your team, it is taking a ‘point in time’ capture of their Progress Plan.
You can use the Progress Plan Review form as often as needed; however, we recommend that you do not leave a form open for a significant period of time to avoid missing any recent changes.
We recommend accessing the form when needed, reviewing and giving any feedback in the area provided on each page, and then finalising and submitting the form.
Once you have finalised the form, your comments and feedback are collated and displayed on the ‘My Progress Notes’ page, and the staff member will receive a notification.
Watch a quick overview of how to submit feedback to your staff member’s Progress Plan. For further information, please refer to the Progress Plan Supervisor Review User Guide.
Further support materials, including Progress Plan session recordings, user guides and navigation videos explaining each section of the Progress Plan, are available on the Staff Connect support page.
Progress Plan Policies and Conversation Guides for Academic and Professional Staff are accessible from the performance development page.
