In 2021, we will take our key learnings from previous Open Days – virtual and physical – and offer students an opportunity to engage in the environment that best suits their needs.
ACU’s physical Open Day season traditionally stretched from July to September. However, a condensed program of events will allow us to maximise the time we spend nurturing future students who’ve engaged in these events in preparation for Semester 1, 2022.
This year, Open Days will be held across three weekends:
Saturday 31 July
- Blacktown on-campus event 10am–2pm
Saturday 7 August
- Brisbane, Canberra and Strathfield on-campus event 10am–2pm
- Virtual domestic and international event 2-4pm
Sunday 8 August
- Melbourne on-campus event 10am–2pm
- Virtual domestic and international event 2-4pm
Saturday 14 August
- North Sydney on-campus event 10am–2pm
Sunday 15 August
- Ballarat on-campus event 10am–2pm
What will happen at each event?
Our physical events will continue to showcase the best our campuses have to offer and ensure we provide students with the friendly, welcoming experience they have come to expect from an ACU Open Day.
Our virtual events will combine pre-recorded informational videos on our disciplines and study areas, with chatroom features for prospective students to ask questions and access support. Students will be able to tour our campuses and facilities through video and imagery, and we’ll also showcase our Catholic identity, support services, international opportunities and other vital areas of the university.
What happens if a lockdown is imposed?
In the event of new restrictions or public health orders related to the COVID-19 pandemic, we will encourage students who’ve registered for the physical events to participate in the online events. We will communicate changes with staff beforehand.
