Simplifying recruitment

From early January 2022, all recruitment will move to Staff Connect.

This will be the final step in the transition to Staff Connect and builds on the change to Internal Appointments that occurred in August.

A simplified process

Hiring managers can expect improvements and changes which include:

  • A simplified recruitment form and process.
  • Consolidation of a number of different forms and processes – internal appointments, expressions of interest, internal and external advertising, and Student Jobs on Campus – into the one ‘Request to Fill’ form.
  • Pre-population of currently stored employment and position data in the form allowing for easy access to information and saving time. This can include position details, current occupant details, Capability Development Framework (CDF) Level, selection criteria specific to the role and other elements of the position description (if recently reviewed via the Position Review form).
  • A more flexible approval workflow process for supervisors to suit their circumstances, with the university delegations met.
  • The format and design will be like many other employment-related forms and processes that you engage with in Staff Connect.
Key dates

Submit new recruitment requests in PageUp before 13 December 2021.

New recruitment requests will commence in Staff Connect from 10 January 2022.

For any urgent requests outside of these dates, please contact Human Resources via Service Central.

Further information regarding the transition to Staff Connect will be communicated over the coming weeks.

These upcoming changes will be supported by ongoing updates, knowledge articles and FAQs in Service Central, and updated policies and procedures. Information sessions will also be advertised in early 2022.
