New Colombo Plan Mobility Program

Applications for the 2023 round of New Colombo Plan (NCP) funding are now open. Faculties interested in running international study programs in the Asia Pacific are encouraged to apply.

The NCP Mobility Program provides funding to Australian universities and consortia to support Australian undergraduate students to participate in semester-based or short-term study, internships, mentorships, practicums and research in up to 40 host locations across the Indo-Pacific region. Through the efforts of ACU's faculties and the Learning Abroad team, more than 800 ACU students have received NCP-funded grants since 2015.

The Mobility Program is open to Australian university undergraduates aged 18-28 years, with capacity to include some students who are more than 28 years old.

The updated guidelines have been released by the Australian Government and faculties can now begin planning and developing international mobility projects and preparing their applications.

The ACU Learning Abroad office will host an information webinar from 2-3pm on Thursday 5 May. The Learning Abroad team will give provide an overview of the 2023 NCP round and the next steps for any faculty interested in applying for funding. Event registration and Zoom link details will be provided via the Learning Abroad - Staff Resource Site event page.
