Communication. Connect Through Conversation
Monday 22 August, 9am–1pm
Audience: Supervisors
Learn flexible communication skills that will help you balance heart and head in all types of conversations, whether communicating face to face, by phone, or remotely.
The Art of Behavioural Interviewing
Tuesday 23 August, 9am–1pm
Audience: All staff
This workshop explores how to conduct interviews that are objective, fair, and provide the candidate the opportunity to shine. You’ll learn how to build rapport, manage an interview, and ask pertinent questions to gather data that are predictive of future on-the-job success.
High Impact Feedback and Listening
Wednesday 31 August, 9.30am–1.30pm
Audience: All staff
Become more confident in giving and receiving positive and developmental feedback, and enhance your listening skills to accurately understand messages as they are intended by the speaker.
Mental Health First Aid
Wednesday 31 August and Wednesday 7 September, 9am–5pm
Audience: All staff
This program is designed for staff wanting to gain the skills and confidence to recognise and provide initial level assistance to others experiencing a mental health issue or crisis until the appropriate professional help is received or crisis resolves. Please note this workshop is completed over two days.

Developing Yourself and Others

This program is designed to introduce supervisors to a practical process to guide their own and their team members’ development planning.
Mental Health First Aid Refresher for Staff
Wednesday 3 August, 9.30am–3.30pm
Audience: All staff who have previously completed a Mental Health First Aid Course
If you are an accredited Mental Health First Aider, completing this refresher training and the accompanying quiz will extend your accreditation for a further three years.
The Role of Chair
Wednesday 3 August, 10am–11.30am
Audience: Hiring managers
Gain a greater understanding of the end-to-end recruitment process and the role and responsibilities as the Selection Committee Chair, ensuring the process is equitable, transparent, timely and candidates have a positive experience.
Delegate: Engage and Empower People
Tuesday 16 August, 9.30am–1.30pm
Audience: Supervisors
This course sets out to help leaders shift their mindset about what they can delegate and feel more comfortable and confident doing so. Learners dig into their workload to identify tasks they’d never consider delegating, using methods for matching people to tasks they’re both motivated and capable of doing.
