How do universities survive and thrive into the future?

Over the last ten or so years, universities have been transformed, hybridised, digitised, optimised, analysed (in immense detail) and disrupted.

Navigating uncertainty and a changing landscape is not new to higher education. Most universities have endured decades if not centuries of dynamic change in society, economies, politics, technology, and the environment.

However, this recent swathe of changes washing over universities does have the hallmarks of watershed change. We have more higher education providers on the Australian and international landscape, a radically different set of expectations from students propelled forward by the global pandemic, geo-political turmoil, economic unease and new technologies driving right at the heart of the ways universities connect and define value.

Learning from everywhere, digital disruption, transnational education, and transforming the university model

Join a panel of experts as they pull back the curtain and get to the heart of questions such as:

  • What really matters and how we can continue to take great leaps forward to make a positive difference in society?
  • Do universities need to change? In what ways and when? Is this soon enough?
  • What values do we seek to impart on future generations?
  • Is there a future where universities are not what they currently are?
  • Is this a future we strive for or that keeps us awake at night?
