Become an accredited Mental Health First Aider

Together with ACU Counselling, we’re offering a Mental Health First Aid session face-to-face on your campus.

Take up the opportunity to gain the skills and confidence to recognise and provide initial assistance to someone experiencing a mental health issue or crisis until the appropriate professional help is received or crisis resolves.

On successful completion of this course, you will be a nationally accredited Mental Health First Aider, an accreditation which is valid for three years.

In this interactive two-day course, you will learn about the signs and symptoms of common mental health issues (depression, anxiety, psychosis, and substance use problems), learn how to provide initial help, understand what professional help is available and how to access it, and learn how to handle common mental health crises.
