Showcasing the heart of teaching

Teaching becomes scholarship when we reflect and share with our colleagues.

Submit a 150-word abstract for the Centre for Education and Innovation CEI Learning and Teaching Showcase sharing your good practice in engaging students in diverse environments.

The CEI invites all individuals or teams who teach and/or support our students in their learning journey, to submit a brief abstract outlining an innovative aspect of your teaching practice which you can showcase in:

  1. a 15-minute presentation (plus five minute Q and A) or,
  2. a 30-minute workshop.
Topics for discussion

Topics for discussion may include:

  • What strategies you employ to promote student engagement with discipline, scholarship, each other, the ACU mission, target industry and community of practice.
  • How you have successfully adapted your teaching and/or curriculum to different modes of delivery.
  • How you support student transition into university learning in undergraduate or postgraduate courses.
  • How you aim to equitably include diverse learners in the learning experience.
  • How you promote student wellbeing, safety and cultural respect in your practice.
  • How you integrate First Nations’ perspectives and knowledges in student learning.
  • How your assessment design and assessment feedback supports student learning.
  • How you evaluate the impact of your teaching and continue to improve your practice.

  • North Sydney: Wednesday 14 December, 10am
  • Ballarat: Thursday 15 December, 10am
  • Brisbane: Thursday 15 December, 10am
