A message from Chief Operating Officer Dr Stephen Weller:
ACU’s Chief People Officer Anna Phillips recently announced the launch of ACU’s People Plan.
As Anna explained, the People Plan (2022 – 2025) is focused on supporting our staff. It sets out six inter-related pillars that align with and support ACU’s mission and strategic priorities.
The People Plan is a first for ACU and I would like to share with you why it is so important for our university.
At ACU we are focused on achieving excellence in education, research, and community engagement. We know that to do this we need to invest in and support our staff in meaningful ways. The People Plan allows us to be clear and intentional about what we need to focus on to achieve the best outcomes for you, and for our university.
The plan has been informed by feedback from across ACU and each of the plan’s pillars highlights a key area of focus to support our people.
While each of the pillars is equally important, they will resonate for you in different ways. I am particularly pleased about the focus on professional growth and outstanding careers. We have heard from you that you want a greater focus on this area and, as the plan outlines, we are taking action to make this happen.
This will not be the last you hear about the People Plan. We will share more information in the coming months and into the new year. We are committed to delivering the actions in the plan and we will keep you updated as we progress with this work.
I encourage you to take some time to read the People Plan and consider what it means for you.
