Research essentials: Get published

ACU Library’s Research Engagement team is running their Research Essentials skills sessions again in 2024.

Researchers are encouraged to keep an eye on the Library Training and Events page and sign up to any and all sessions of interest. The next session is for the Researchers’ Publications stream: Strategic Publishing.

There are still spaces available for ‘Research Essentials: Get Published - strategic publishing for success’. The Researcher Profile session sits among four Researcher Publications sessions: ‘Get Noticed’, ‘Get Published’, ‘Get Read’, and ‘Get Attention’.

Each year millions of articles are rejected by journals. While experiencing rejection in the publishing process is a normal aspect of every researcher’s work life, there are ways to reduce the rate of rejection. In this webinar, you'll learn strategies you can employ at various stages of the research-to-publication journey to avoid rejection and get published, including:

  • Preparing to meet publishing requirements
  • Knowing your audience
  • Strategic journal selection
  • Planning for maximum reach through open access
  • Responding to Peer Review.

The session will be held via Microsoft Teams 11am, 18 April.
