ACEN chapter led conversation

The Australian Collaborative Education Network (ACEN) is hosting a chapter led conversation that delves into the fundamental principles of supporting students during their Work Integrated Learning (WIL) journey.

The session will highlight the importance of continuous support, focusing on three key practices including mentorship, reflection, and debriefing.

The session will feature:

  • Dr Julia Caldicott (SCU) introducing a mentorship scheme that uses alumni as industry mentors.
  • Dr Laura Rook (UOW) presenting insights and outcomes from a recent project, showcasing the transformative impact of reflective assessment and activity design on student learning
  • Dr Theresa Winchester-Seeto (SFHEA) exploring how debriefing can be a powerful strategy for helping students gain the maximum learning from their WIL activity.
