How does copyright impact the work you do? Not sure? Find out here. Develop a basic understanding of copyright in the ACU workplace, receive an overview of ACU's copyright licences for learning and teaching (what you can and can't do), learn about students and copyright, and more.

Audience: Staff interested in learning how to be an ally to the LGBTIQ+ members of the ACU community and information about how to join the ACU Ally Network.

This program will serve as an introduction to LGBTIQ+ issues so that staff are better equipped to support LGBTIQ+ students and staff. Framed around the university mission, the program will cover; legislation relating to LGBTIQ+ people in Australia, data around the challenges facing LGBTIQ+ people in Australia today, terminology and more.

This workshop will help you develop a deeper understanding of the power of habits. It shows how habits can be intentionally developed to support long-term wellbeing goals.

To chair recruitment interviews at ACU you must equip yourself with the knowledge to ensure you’re following the right procedure and protocols throughout the recruitment process. The responsibilities of a chair is different to those on an interview panel member. If you’re looking to prepare yourself to recruit for continuing or fixed term staff, you must first complete the Role of Chair training.
In this 80-minute session, you will gain a high-level understanding of the end-to-end recruitment process and your responsibilities as a Chair. This training ensures our recruitment and selection processes are merit-based, equitable, transparent and timely – all of which contribute to a positive experience for our candidates.

In Service Excellence, we introduce you to the ACU service excellence framework, principles, expectations and standards. You will learn about different types of service, types of customers, and begin developing techniques to deliver service excellence.

This program is designed for staff wanting to gain the skills and confidence to recognise and provide initial assistance to others experiencing a mental health issue until the appropriate professional help is received or the crisis resolves using a practical, evidence-based Action Plan. On successful completion of this course and accompanying quiz, you will be a nationally Accredited Mental Health First Aider for three years, including if you wish to be identified at ACU as a Mental Health First Aider for other staff. Please note this workshop is completed over two days - attendance for the whole of both days is mandatory.
