Join the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower Program as a Sunflower Champion.
ACU is now a participant in the global Hidden Disabilities Sunflower Program which supports individuals with hidden disabilities by making their invisible conditions visible, in a respectful and understanding way.
By wearing a sunflower lanyard, individuals can discreetly indicate that they may need additional support, patience, or understanding.
As part of our commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive campus environment, we're calling on our ACU colleagues to step forward and volunteer as Sunflower Champions.
In this role, you will be a key figure in providing support and assistance to students and colleagues wearing the sunflower lanyard, helping to create a more accessible and empathetic community at ACU.
Sunflower Champions will wear distinctive white and green Sunflower Champion lanyards, making them easily identifiable to those seeking support.
If you're interested in making a difference and becoming a Sunflower Champion, here's how you can get involved:
By volunteering as a Sunflower Champion, you're not just taking on a role; you're making a significant difference in the lives of those with hidden disabilities. Your understanding and support can transform their experience on campus, reinforcing ACU's reputation as a leader in inclusivity and compassion.
We encourage everyone to consider this rewarding opportunity to positively impact our community's wellbeing. Together, we can ensure that ACU is a place where everyone feels seen, supported, and valued.
Thank you for your commitment to making ACU an inclusive and supportive environment for all.
