Anyone wishing to enrol in a first aid course, fulfil the training requirements of being a listed first aid officer on campus, or maintain currency of your qualifications should use the new First Aid booking portal.
This new portal will allow you to nominate a time and location to undertake your first aid training (after checking the course schedules on the St John’s website in your state or territory via the links provided in Step 2).
If you are enrolling in a course as part of your role, you must obtain approval from your supervisor as you will need to enter the correct billing details for your department/unit when booking.
If you are booking the training to either become a listed Campus First Aid Officer or to update your qualifications, you must provide notification to Safety and Wellbeing via the Request First Aid Services form on Service Central.
The Safe Work Australia First Aid in the Workplace Code of Practice recommends CPR training should be completed annually and Provide First Aid training should be completed every three years.
Once a participant completes their course, St John’s sends an email reminder shortly before the next expiry date as a prompt to update your qualifications and to rebook your course. Staff are encouraged to put a calendar reminder in their diary or on their phone so that when the time comes to update a qualification and rebook the course, there is ample time to do so before the expiry date of the qualification.
For any assistance in navigating this booking portal, please contact Learning and Development or Safety and Wellbeing via Service Central.Nominations are now open to appoint two members of our academic staff to the university Senate for a term ending in 2028.
