ACU has now finalised the submission of all payroll information and Income Statement details to the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) for the 2023/2024 financial year.
Please note that details of your annual earnings, now referred to as an Income Statement (formerly known as payment summary), are available online via your myGov account and will not be published in Staff Connect.
If ACU is your only employer, your Income Statement should now be displayed in your myGov account as 'tax ready' and can be used to complete your tax return.
If you have multiple employers, you need to wait until all employers have finalised their earnings and Income Statement submissions before lodging your tax return. Other employers have until 14 July 2024 to finalise your Income Statement details for the 2023/2024 financial year with the ATO. You should receive a message in your myGov inbox from the ATO when all Income Statements from your employers are 'tax ready'.
If you don’t already have one, you should consult information on how to set up your myGov account and link it to ATO online services. Alternatively, if you don’t have a myGov account, you will need to contact the ATO directly to obtain your Income Statement details or your tax agent may be able to access the information on your behalf.
For further information on these changes, please refer to the Income Statement/Payment Summary knowledgebase articles on Service Central.
