MIMS Online is becoming eMIMSelite

The popular medicines database MIMS Online is upgrading to a new platform and changing its name to eMIMSelite.

What is MIMS?

MIMS is a comprehensive and trusted resource for Australian medicines information, which ACU library subscribes to. It contains abbreviated and comprehensive medicines information, consumer medicine information, drug interactions and pill identification.

Who might use it?

  • Students often refer to MIMS for studying and understanding various medications, their uses, and mechanisms of action.
  • Nurses use MIMS to ensure they are administering the correct medications and to educate patients about their treatments.
  • Medical researchers might use MIMS to gather information on specific drugs for clinical trials or studies.
  • Patients use MIMS to better understand their medications, including potential side effects and how to take them properly.

What’s changing?

  • MIMS has been redesigned from the ground up, with modern software that delivers relevant information faster.
  • MIMS will become eMIMSelite, with a simplified user interface that makes finding information easier.
  • Medicines information is now presented in a standardized and easy-to-use format.
  • The new design is responsive, making the platform adaptable to any device.
