ACU encourages you to participate in our annual flu vaccination program to help maintain your health and wellbeing, especially with the onset of colder weather and impending flu season. All staff, including casuals and sessional staff, are eligible to participate.
Flu vaccination is provided free for ACU staff.
Note: The Over 65’s vaccine is not available as part of the vaccination program. You can obtain it through your GP or Pharmacist. The Southern Hemisphere seasonal influenza vaccine provides protection against the seasonal strains as recommended by the World Health Organisation. It also reduces the threat of contracting the flu and COVID-19, at the same time, which could ‘overwhelm’ the body. Please read the Season 2025 Frequently Asked Questions for more information.
If you are unsure about whether you should be vaccinated, please seek advice from your doctor first.
Please bring your Medicare card with you if you attend an ACU Medical Centre as your vaccination will be bulk billed. You will also need to complete a new patient form if it is your first visit to a centre.
