Eight-week Social Enterprise Series launches with $10,000 award

ACU Co-Lab, in partnership with StartSomeGood, is launching its comprehensive Social Enterprise Series 2025, an eight-week program designed to equip aspiring changemakers with essential skills for establishing and growing successful social enterprises.

The fully subsidised program is open to university students, staff, and the broader community, with workshops delivered online in an interactive format. Participants who attend at least three workshops become eligible to enter the Social Enterprise Award competition with a substantial $10,000 prize for the winning pitch.

The workshop series covers crucial aspects of social enterprise development:

• The Change You Seek (March 26): Exploring purpose, vision, impact models, and theories of change
• Solving the Right Problem (April 2): Identifying and addressing the correct problem before developing solutions
• Ideation for Impact (April 9): Human-centered design and purposeful prototyping
• Designing Your Business (April 16): Business modelling and value proposition design
• Building Your Tribe (April 30): Digital marketing essentials and storytelling
• Pitching (May 7): Live pitching techniques and understanding target markets
• Fundraising and Reporting (May 14): First funds, capital options, measurement, and evaluation
• The Road is Long (May 21): Personal sustainability, building company culture, and project management

"Industry experts will guide participants through all components of building enterprises with positive social impact," explains the program coordinator. "This is an incredible opportunity to gain practical skills while competing for substantial funding to kickstart your project."

All workshops run from 4-6pm AEST/AEDT online.
