With the delivery of CourseTrack, ACU’s new enrolment monitoring tool, the EPiC (Enrolment: Planning to Completion) project, is drawing to a close.
The project was co-sponsored by the Academic Registrar, Cheryl Fullwood, and the Provost, Professor Julie Cogin.
For the first time at ACU, CourseTrack allows staff and students to track unit enrolments against course rules, transforming the way that we monitor and manage students’ course progress.
The CourseTrack audit provides students with a clear snapshot of their course requirements and whether they are on-track, while associated reports allow staff to identify enrolment errors and track students’ progress towards completion in bulk.
In order to ensure that CourseTrack accurately reflects the complexity of ACU’s course rules, the project also implemented a number of other system and process changes:
CourseTrack is currently available for 36 courses, covering about 70% of our enrolled students.
You can find out more about CourseTrack, including a full list of live courses here.
A new team has been created to manage CourseTrack after the end of the project. The Course Plan Configuration (CPC) team will report to Cathryn Bunney and comprises:
The CPC team will be responsible for all aspects of CourseTrack, including, but not limited to:
You can contact the CPC team at coursetrack@acu.edu.au.
The hard work and dedication of the EPiC project team—Lucy Hellard, Michael Dorman, Sue Cole, Kellie Reyes and Audrey Tan—have been instrumental in bringing this project to fruition. And it could not have been completed without the assistance of other Student Administration teams, including Admissions, the Argos reporting team, Course Completions, Curriculum Management, Enrolments, Student Systems Operations, and ACU IT.
We also want to thank the course co-ordinators and other school staff who generously gave of their time and expertise to ensure the accuracy and utility of this important tool.
Although the project is ending, we will continue to work towards improving the student enrolment experience.
