Flourishing Through Mission
3 July NationalThis workshop gives you the foundations for successfully shaping and running projects. The day is hands on, working on a project of yours (or a project idea).
Positive Psychology is the scientific study of human flourishing and an applied approach to optimal functioning. It has been defined as the study of the strengths and virtues that enable individuals, communities and organisations to thrive.
This topic is based around the PERMAH Model of positive psychology. Based on the famous work of Martin Seligman, this topic is designed to help people learn how to flourish and identify their own strengths and development areas. Learners will be challenged to create a personal action plan and take a positive approach to their mental health and wellbeing.
What you will learn in this topic:
• You will gain a deeper understanding of positive psychology and the PERMAH Model.
• You will have an opportunity to identify and understand your strengths and ways to apply and reinforce those strengths.
• You will learn the importance of taking a positive psychology approach to your wellbeing and use the PERMAH Model to create a Wellbeing Action Plan.
Who is this topic for?
Anyone who is interested in mental health and wellbeing will find this topic valuable and interesting.
Anyone who wants to seize opportunities to flourish will take away practical hints, tips and guidance that will make a genuine difference.
