The pilot phase of the Student Content and Communications Community of Practice (CoP) has ended successfully, and the CoP has become a university-wide initiative.
This forum brings together “communications champions” from teams across ACU that regularly communicate with current students. Supported by staff training, resources and tools such as a shared calendar, it is designed to bring collaborative ways of working to student-facing content and communications.
The CoP is one of seven key initiatives of the Student Content and Communications project, which aims to improve the quality and consistency of information ACU shares with current students.
Other initiatives underway to progress this project include a Student Content and Communications Policy, a Digital Platforms Working Group, and a series of knowledge articles and other resources to support staff who work across student communications.
A pilot group to test the CoP model, chaired by the Student Communications Advisor in Marketing and External Relations, ran from May to July this year.
Thank you to the stakeholders involved in this pilot, as well as those who now sit on the full CoP which started in August.
If you would like to know more about the CoP and other project initiatives, please contact Internal Communications and Engagement Manager Danielle Kirk.
