The Centre for Education and Innovation is pleased to announce the Canvas migration has commenced and the recently developed Canvas Experience Guide is now available.
The next stage of the Canvas Implementation Project involves migrating all undergraduate and remaining postgraduate course units from LEO to Canvas.
This migration process will be broken down into three iterations:
- Iteration 1: August 2023 - October 2023
Terms: Summer Term 4, ACU Thrive (select first year units), Professional Terms 1, 2 and 3.
- Iteration 2: November 2023 - February 2024
Terms: Semester 1. TBC after completion of Iteration 1
- Iteration 3: March 2024 - May 2024
Terms: Semester 2, TBC after completion of Iteration 2
Lecturers-in-Charge will be responsible for reviewing migrated courses and will receive the suite of ‘Canvas Essentials’ training, a range of support resources, and direct one-one-one support for the quality assurance process.
Canvas Experience Guide
The Canvas Experience Guide is a comprehensive resource designed to define the process of creating new ACU Canvas courses, ensuring a consistent and familiar experience for both staff and students.
All staff who will be preparing a Canvas course for teaching are encouraged to read this document which:
- provides insights into the design of Canvas at ACU
- offers an evidence-based guide to setting up a high-quality units in Canvas
- lists instructions on accessing Canvas training and support resources.
