Research Essentials

ACU Library’s Research Engagement team is running their Research Essentials skills sessions again in 2024.

Researchers are encouraged to keep an eye on the Library Training and Events page and sign up to any and all sessions of interest.

The FAIR Data session discusses methods for achieving careful and considered open access to you research data that facilitates discovery, citation, and reuse through principles first published in 2016. FAIR refers to Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable. This session translates those four FAIR principles into easily understood actions that achieve FAIR for ACU research projects and their data outputs.

The first session is for the Research Data Management stream: FAIR Data. There are still spaces available for ‘Research Essentials: FAIR Data - an action-based approach online’. The FAIR Data session sits among three RDM sessions: FAIR, Sensitive Data, and Research Data Management Planning.

In understanding the FAIR principles and their application to research data, you will be better equipped to participate in the publication and promotion of your research data as an output.

Register now for the session which will be held online via Zoom on March 6 at 2.00pm AEDT.
