Important change to EndNote X9.3.1

EndNote X9.3.1 for Windows will be available soon on ACU computers.

This new version of EndNote uses a new file format, which means you need to:

• convert your previous EndNote library to the new version
• stop using previous versions of EndNote – or they will be deleted.

Before you open your existing EndNote files in X9.3.1 on an ACU computer, please make sure that you:

• backup your existing EndNote library – make sure you do this regularly before and after using new versions such as X9.3.1
• allow EndNote X9.3.1 to convert your existing EndNote library and files when you first open X9.3.1
• do not open EndNote files converted or created in X9.3.1 (and above) with older versions of EndNote.

If you use EndNote on your personal computer(s), you should likewise make sure that you:

• backup your existing EndNote library
• uninstall all previous versions of EndNote
• download and install EndNote X9.3.1 from the EndNote Library Guide
• allow EndNote X9.3.1 to convert your existing EndNote library and files when you first open X9.3.1
• do not open EndNote files converted or created in X9.3.1 (and above) with older versions of EndNote.
