The Graduate Certificate in Higher Education (GCHE) is designed to advance your career as a tertiary educator and to contribute directly to extending a culture of excellence in learning and teaching, particularly at ACU.

This fully online, work-integrated course offers practical learning activities directly relevant to your role, including:

  • Build a strong theoretical foundation for reflective teaching practice
  • Design curriculum and assessments aligned with adult learning principles
  • Develop and implement course and unit evaluation and improvement plans
  • Integrate digital technology into your learning, teaching and assessment strategy using educational theory
  • Complete a high-quality scholarly project in higher education

Staff who have a role leading teaching and learning at either the School or Faculty level are eligible to have their fees waived. Discuss your eligibility with the Course Coordinator, Dr Joe Campana.

If you're interested in the program, make sure you complete your enrolment by 20 September 2024 to get started by 23 September 2024. If you are a new starter, you will begin with UNMC510 - Foundations for Learning and Teaching in Higher Education.
